Pearman has produced artworks using the medium of vitreous enamel. This technique is traditionally an industrial process for applying colour to a mild steel panels to produce a fired, light-fast coloured material that can be located in an exterior environment. Pigment is applied using spraying and screen-printing techniques, similar to that employed for fired glass.
Pearman has previously contracted the production of vitreous enamel panels for public art commissions ( as shown here ), and is currently working upon a number of artworks using this technique.
