Cast refers to artworks utilizing casting techniques for the production of moulds and casts. Pearman has incorporated the mould making processes to produce artworks in themselves.
Pearman has produced casts using concrete and plaster of Paris.
Some of these moulds and casts are based upon maquettes for a project for Salford City Council.
The theme of these pieces is based upon Manga street imagery and other graphic styles. These graphic styles are synonymous with techniques used in cartoons and are found in the screen-printing processes.
The process of casting is employed in Pearman's approach to screen-printing.
